The World Lacrosse Championships is the international men's field lacrosse championship organised by World Lacrosse that occurs every four years.

As part of our partnership with Ireland Lacrosse, Net World Sports were named the 'Official Goalpost, Training Aid and Ball Provider' for the 2022 World Lacrosse Men's U21 World Championship, hosted by Ireland Lacrosse at the University of Limerick.

We supplied a range of our FORZA lacrosse equipment for the prestigious event, including our Professional FIL Goals, Ball Stop Nets, World Match Lacrosse Balls and training equipment that was used across all 80 games during the 11-day long tournament.

The tournament featured 23 teams - the most in a World Lacrosse junior championship - and a nine-team increase from the last men's junior championship in 2016. A total of 510 athletes competed in the event, with more than 1,250 goals scored. Having top-quality equipment that will withstand this level of use was essential, and the hosts were impressed by our FORZA products.

"Hosting a tournament of this size meant that we needed top-quality equipment that would be durable enough to withstand being used by 23 teams daily across a short period of time. Net World Sports and their FORZA equipment did not disappoint" Michael Kennedy, CEO of Ireland Lacrosse

It was the United States that claimed the gold medal after a thrilling, closely contested final against Canada.

As part of our wider partnership with Ireland Lacrosse, we will look to develop lacrosse 'Starter Packs' for schools/grassroots clubs within Ireland with the aim of encouraging participation by including equipment such as balls and trainings aids at a discounted price.

We will also be offering leagues, clubs, coaches, schools and all others associated with Ireland Lacrosse an exclusive discount on our FORZA lacrosse and wider equipment range, in the hopes of making the sport more accessible.

It was fantastic to supply the World Championships and we look forward to continuing our relationship with the team at Ireland Lacrosse in the future.
