It provides organised seating without any weather cover. A team shelter (also called a dugout) is a bench with a roof and often side panels. Shelters, as the name suggests, give players and coaches cover from rain, sun and wind. Shelters are used at most club and school fields in Canada where weather can change quickly. Benches are lighter, cheaper and easier to move between locations.
